Resident library accounts are valid for 3 years, after which they expire and must be renewed. Accounts must be renewed in person by either the account owner or the parent/guardian of a child or teenager who is not old enough to have their own ID. We cannot renew accounts on behalf of spouses, partners, or adult children if they are not present at time of renewal.
In order to renew your account, you must present a valid form of govt. issued ID and be in good standing order with no fines or outstanding items on your account. BML can accept payments in cash or check, but is unable to accept cards or other digital payment options.
Non-resident library accounts must be renewed every year. In addition to the above requirements, non-residents must pay the annual $30 non-resident fee at the time of renewal.
Expired library accounts cannot access digital services such as NHAIS and Libby until they have been renewed.
