The library passport is a chance for patrons of all ages, including teenagers and adults, to track their library activities and challenge themselves to check out new items!
To participate, simply pick up a blank passport at the library and then bring it with you when you return in the future. You can earn stickers and stamps when you attend library events and collect passport stickers when you borrow items or use library services!
There are four categories to collect stamps and stickers in: Library Events, Beyond Books, Broaden Horizons, and Genre Reader.
Library Events:
Earn these stickers and stamps when you visit the library for programs and special events! These include coffee hour, book clubs, Mah-jongg, and summer special events.
Beyond Books:
Earn these stickers by borrowing non-book items and using free library services!
- Take home a library jigsaw puzzle
- Reserve and borrow any available museum pass
- Check out an item from the Library of Things (including the telescope, board games, IR Books and adventure backpacks)
- Borrow a DVD, Blu-ray or Audiobook on CD
Broaden Horizons:
Earn these stickers for exploring the library’s collections outside adult fiction and for reading books by different categories of author!
- Borrow any item (including audiobooks) from the YA collection
- Borrow a graphic novel from the Adult, YA, or children’s collection
- Borrow any title from the non-fiction collection
- Borrow any title from the biography collection
- Borrow a book that was written by a female author
- Borrow a book written by an author of color
- Read a book by an author recommended by the library staff (see below!)
- Read a book by a “classic” author (well known or famous literary figure)

Genre Reader:
Earn these stickers when you borrow books across different genres. There are eight in total to collect!

End of Summer:
The library passport will be available all summer long. At the end of summer reading, bring your passport back to the library between August 2nd and August 10th to earn raffle tickets and other rewards based on the number of stickers you collected and whether you were able to collect at least one in all four categories!
