Summer Reading 2025 Reading Trackers
This year, level up at your library and become a master of dragons… by reading all summer long!
Reading Dragons & Friends is a program children can participate in throughout July and August. By reading books and tracking how long they read for, they’re able to collect sets of Dragon Trading Cards–special dragon friends they can trade or battle with their friends!
They can track their reading in blocks of 30 minutes, whether alone or together with a parent. For every 2 hours they read, they can bring their tracker to the library front desk to pick out a dragon! Each dragon comes in a set of four cards, from Egg, to Baby, to Child to Dragon.
Reading Dragons & Friends are open to children of all ages and will be available through July and August. Kids can go at their own pace and collect whichever cards they like–all Dragon cards fit neatly in a standard playing card sleeve or deck holder!
